The frog crafts we have been working on are short and sweet! And they require very few supplies. I will post more as we finish them and I have time to write them up, but here is my favorite!
This project comes from
Ed Emberley's Great Thumbpring Drawing Book. He has lots of ideas for making fun thumbprint doodles! Step-by-step instructions for many critters and other ideas, ranging from single-print figures to more complicated combinations. Ideal for ages 3 and up, but younger ones will enjoy making thumbprints even if they aren't ready to doodle.

I have an older version. The cover on the new edition gives you an idea of Emberley's cute ideas! |
If you have an ink pad or paint, make some fingerprints and let them dry. Then turn them into frogs by drawing on eyes, mouth, tongue, and legs! Add some flies to eat or lily pads if you are really getting into it. I've been using a
Melissa & Doug ink pad. It's not scrap booking quality, but it washes off little fingers very easily! Keep some wipes handy so you don't get fingerprints everywhere on the route from your craft table and sink ;)
